Confidentiality & Data Security

Protecting your estate planning information.

Legacy Prep Solutions recognizes the sensitive nature of estate planning information and takes reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect customer data.

Encryption in transit

Data submitted through the platform is transmitted over TLS-secured connections.

Encryption at rest

Customer data is stored in managed, access-controlled cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest enabled by the provider.

Access controls

Access to customer data is limited to personnel and service providers with a legitimate need, governed by least-privilege controls.

Operational safeguards

Administrative procedures, secret management, and audit logging support confidentiality and integrity of stored information.

Sensitive information handling

Estate planning data may include family, beneficiary, asset, and medical-related preference information. We use this data solely for document preparation and coordination of the services you request, and do not sell customer data.

Service providers

We engage vetted third-party service providers (such as payment processors, authentication, hosting, email delivery, and storage) to operate the platform. These providers are contractually obligated to protect data they process on our behalf.

Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials and for the accuracy of information you submit. Avoid submitting highly sensitive information that is not necessary for document preparation.

Incident response

If we become aware of a security incident that materially affects your information, we will provide notice consistent with applicable law and our obligations.

No absolute guarantee

No system can guarantee absolute security. The safeguards above represent reasonable measures, not a warranty of invulnerability.
